KINGSTON Charles Gauthier scored twice as the fifth-ranked McGill Redmen
dumped Queens 5-0 in university hockey, Friday.
Freshman Jean-Michel Filiatrault, a 21-year-old native of Laval, made 16 saves
for the win and became the first netminder in McGill history to earn shutouts
in each of his first two starts. The undefeated Redmen improved to 5-0 with
four shutouts.
Other McGill goals were scored by Doug Orr, Eric LItalien and defenceman
David Urquhart. The Redmen, which outshot Queens 44-16, play at Royal
Military College on Saturday.
