McGill grad Babcock to coach in NHL All-Star game Jan 02, 08 Ice Hockey (M)

Mike Babcock of the Detroit Red Wings and John Paddock of the Ottawa Senators
were selected as the coaches for the NHL All-Star Game.
The two will coach in the Jan. 27 game in Atlanta because their teams will
have the top point percentages as of Jan. 4, the halfway point of the NHL regular
season.
The Red Wings lead the Western Conference with a league- best 61 points (29-8-3
record) in 40 games, while the Senators are first in the Eastern Conference
with 54 points (25-10-4) in 39 games.
The NHL will announce the All-Star Game starting lineups tomorrow.
