Bloom sent down to ECHL's Cyclones

HAMILTON, Ont -- Hamilton Bulldogs general manager Julien Brisebois announced
Wednesday that the team has sent forward Sam Bloom, a McGill graduate, down
to the Cincinnati Cyclones, their affiliate in the East Coast Hockey League.
He had been on a tryout with the Bulldogs.
Mathieu Darche, another McGill grad, remains with the team, which is guided
by head coach Guy Boucher and assistnat coach Martin Raymond, both former players
and coaches at McGill.
Bloom was with the 'Dogs for the beginning of training camp in Edinburgh, Scotland
where the club captured the Gardiner Cup Championship after defeating the Toronto
Marlies in the finals of the four-team tournament that also featured the Belfast
Giants and Edinburgh Capitals from the UK Elite League.
Bloom remains under contract to the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones for the upcoming
season.
The Bulldogs finish their pre-season tonight when they face the Toronto Marlies
at General Motors Centre at 7:00 p.m. Fans can listen to every 'Dogs game on
